What happened to manners?
So this is my first blog in a very long time. Some people may take offense to what I say, but everyone is entitled to voice their opinion. Its entirely up to you to listen to it.
Now the reason for my rhetorical question above is because i am seriously wondering what happened to manners? People these days are disrespectful, generally less intelligent, and have no common courtsey for others. For example, when people ask you for rides. If you have a car and are a university or highschool student, your life sucks. Friends will use you for a ride, and they will not hesitate to ask you favours that in the past and in my close friends circle would be outrageously rude. Imposing on people like that to be their personal taxi driver is NOT a nice thing to do. When you say 'no, im sorry i cant pick you up there', you become the bad person? There is something seriously wrong with this scenario. The way i was brought up is you dont ask someone to do something for you that inconveniences them. You mention that you need to get from A to B, and if they offer then its fine. But asking for a ride? How UNclassy. The classic scenario is when you havent talked to someone in a long time and they act all sweet and are like 'hows your day, weekend, etc? Ohh, btw can you pick me up from here. It would suck for me to take the bus'. Well you know what? It would SUCK for me to pick up an ungrateful friend. Maybe im making a big deal about this, but for those that are reading this, please dont take advantage of your friends with a car, lol. Ive had this happen 2 days in a row, and many manyyyyyyy times in the past. Honestly, i must say HOW RUDE. And that i dont consider people that do this classy or true friends to be honest. True friends i gladly offer rides to. These days the amount of fake ppl around is rediculous. Im glad I dont open up. What for?
